FERMA is committed to a “Zero Injury” safety culture, with the core value being Behavioral Based Safety as the foundation for our Safety Program. This core value’s success is driven by the commitment and reinforcement instilled by FERMA’s owners and senior leaders to the employees. This commitment shapes the performance expectations and influences safety attitudes and behaviors of all FERMA employees.
Support is necessary to safely achieve our project goals, without compromising the safety of our most valuable asset, our employees. Foremen, Superintendents and management listen to the concerns of the crew and will not hesitate to postpone a task. This allows FERMA employees to feel supported, accountable and able to achieve FERMA’s safety cultures core values. FERMA employees know that their health and safety is not placed second to production.
We believe that our employees have the right to work in a safe environment and will only employ those who share this belief and philosophy. We are committed to fostering a safe work place with a safety culture that embraces an elevated safety awareness of each of our employees, empowering them to take whatever action is necessary to achieve our “Zero Injury” safety culture. Due to the combination of experienced employees and organized forethought of pre-task planning, FERMA has developed an award-winning culture of safety, sensibility and success by the people who make up the FERMA family. We are proud of our employee’s response, commitment and overall dedication to our “Zero Injury” safety culture.

FERMA develops a Health and Safety Plan (HASP) for every project. This HASP describes the policy requirements for the protection of project personnel and the general public. It is the basis for compliance with the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), Parts 1904 (Ref. 4.1), 1910 (Ref. 4.2), 1926 (Ref. 4.3), and CCR Title 8.
FERMA site operations continuously identify and correct site health and safety issues by working in partnership with employees and contractors at all levels to eliminate injuries and ill health at work and prevent incidents.
