- FERMA was contracted to demolish a 12-story concrete hospital building with an adjacent multi-story structure
- The new hospital remained fully functional during the old building’s demolition
- Demolition was conducted in three stages in order to limit disturbance to the new hospital
- 60,000 SF via floor-by-floor demolition (12 stories) on the East side to safely allow for 220,000 SF of demolition via high-reach methods
- The third demolition stage consisted of 30,000 SF of the adjacent hospital wing and connecting structure
- After above grade demolition was complete, the basement was demolished, backfilled, and compacted with clean soil
