FERMA performed asbestos abatement in accordance with the hazardous materials survey, including removal and disposal of ACM and ACCM from interior and exterior building components across all structures.
Abatement activities included drywall, concrete, pipe insulation, mechanical gaskets, chalkboards, fire doors, ceramic mortars, heat shields, window glazing, coatings, roofing materials, and resilient flooring with associated mastics.
Asbestos removal was conducted in boiler rooms, crawlspaces, ceiling cavities, courtyards, cafeterias, and roof assemblies following approved containment and work procedures.
Lead-containing materials were removed and disposed of per survey findings, including loose and flaking lead-based paint on interior and exterior surfaces.
Additional lead abatement included removal of battleship floor sheet materials within interior areas.
Universal waste was removed, recycled, or disposed of in compliance with regulations, including PCB-containing light ballasts and fluorescent lamps throughout the facility.
